Sandy Spring Friends School - Upper School Science and Humanities Building

The Sandy Springs Upper School Science and Humanities Building is being designed to illustrate the school’s commitment to the environment, health and well-being of its occupants. Innovative programs such as the WELL Building initiative and solar energy are being utilized in the design, as well as the potential for the facility to be Net-Zero ready. The 43,000 SF academic building will include STEM classrooms and a Makers Lab, as well as humanities and social science programs. The new facility will also include an open atrium in the center of the building, a roof terrace for dining, collaboration and relaxing, and many areas for independent study and collaboration outside of the classrooms.
