University of Colorado Boulder - Aerospace Engineering Sciences Building

The new 146,000 SF Aerospace Engineering Sciences building on East Campus of the University of Colorado at Boulder will be a world-class facility where students, faculty and researchers will collaborate to conduct ground-breaking research in the aerospace industry. The facility will include distance learning equipped classrooms, a 210-person auditorium, offices, dry and wet laboratories, machine shops and workshops. There will also be an indoor flight laboratory for testing unmanned aerial systems, as well as a unique roof design that provides the lines of sight necessary for activities such as satellite tracking. The site will include programmatic requirements for the department, such as drone fields and a research plaza. The building is designed to meet or exceed LEED Gold requirements.
