Middlesex Hospital
Construction of an addition on the north side of an existing hospital, including 105,000 SF of renovated or expanded space.
The project included:
• 25,000 SF of emergency department (ED) space on the ground level.
• 12,000 SF, cast-in-place ambulance deck for ambulatory and acute care admission.
• 19,000 SF interstitial floor housing all of the rough-in for the ED space and IT and mechanical rooms.
• 22,500 SF of shell space on the second floor.
• 9,000 SF rooftop mechanical penthouse.
• Elevated helipad cantilevered over a tidal tributary to the Connecticut River.
