University of Baltimore John and Frances Angelos Law Center

The critically-acclaimed John and Frances Angelos Law Center is a 190,000 SF, 12-level, model for sustainability innovation. The complex energy model relies on radiant heating, geothermal energy, solar power, and an intricate facade featuring three systems, each with its own unique aesthetic and performance qualities, automatic window operators and exterior blinds. The facility includes academic classrooms, administration offices, seminar rooms, a law library, lounges, meeting rooms, and building support facilities. Student, faculty and staff interaction is fostered by vibrant areas featuring exposed concrete and extensive glass wall partitions which give the building a sense of openness and transparency. This project achieved LEED® Platinum certification.
