Miami University - New Western Campus Residential Halls

The Beechwoods, Stonebridge and Hillcrest residence halls, approximately 73,000 SF each, have debuted on the western campus. These three high-profile buildings, each with its own character, provide Miami University with 720 new beds. The skin includes Kentucky fieldstone, brick, wood-clad windows, curtainwall, metal panels and metal roofs. The mechanical system includes a four-pipe fan coil system with hot and cold water supplied from the nearby geothermal plant. Site improvements included concrete and asphalt pavements, a steel bridge with ornamental railings, a cast-in-place concrete bridge with a precast arch, a granite fieldstone veneer, ornamental railings, parking lot and roadway reconstruction/paving, stream restoration, storm drainage/piping, site lighting, trees, plantings, traffic signalization/intersection work, and traffic signage/striping. This project is pursuing LEED® Silver certification.
