Leidos Advanced Technology Research Facility (ATRF)

In support of the National Cancer Institute, ATRF houses the Biopharmaceutical Development Program, Advanced Technology Program, and the Center for Cancer Research. The facility is based on a specific design criterion geared to the development of advanced biomedical technologies, and translation of research discoveries to clinical settings. The project entailed interior construction and base building upgrades over approximately 242,669 SF. This space includes 171,000 SF of BSL-2 and BSL-3 research laboratories, 64,000 SF of biopharmaceutical development and cGMP manufacturing, and in excess of 20,000 LF of process piping. Procurement through commissioning was achieved on time in 18 months. The project was awarded three Green Globes.
