University of Georgia Paul D. Coverdell Center for Biomedical & Health Sciences

This 135,000 SF facility was built as a memorial to the late Senator, Paul D. Coverdell. The project consists of a four-story biomedical research building located on the University of Georgia campus. The facility provides research laboratories, an animal facility and administration offices. Included are concrete foundations, an under-slab drainage system, structural steel, concrete frame, masonry, architectural precast, light-gage metal framing, architectural woodwork, waterproofing, shingle roofing, aluminum storefront windows, granite flooring, laboratory casework and resinous flooring. The building contains one 1,200 SF, BSL-3 laboratory with supporting laboratories on the perimeter of the building on levels two and three.
