Target - San Jose North

Construction of a single-story, 138,000 SF Target store. The store served as an early roll-out of Target's new prototype layout, which focuses on the fresh market concept and required special attention to new details and systems. The exterior façade included Brazilian Walnut (Ipe) wood siding, stone veneer and metal trellis.

This project was completed on-time despite an accelerated schedule which was two months shorter than a typical new store construction schedule. Whiting-Turner integrated the use of VDC modeling and the coordination of the MEP, architectural and structural disciplines to facilitate a fast-track execution.
