Blue Diamond Growers Project Century

Phase 1 of this 190,000 SF, state-of-the-art food processing facility was successfully completed using a design-build, integrated project delivery (IPD) approach. The facility features areas for ready-to-eat (RTE) food processing, automated packaging, and shipping and receiving. Elevated interstitial space is utilized for MEP equipment. 20 acres of new site development and related off-site public road and signalization improvements are also included. IPD components include Lean design and construction, early subcontractor involvement in design/assist and design/build roles, target value design, commitment-based scheduling, and an extensive Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) program. Food Engineering Magazine's 2014 Plant of the Year. This project is pursuing LEED ® certification.
