Baltimore Museum of Art

The Baltimore Museum of Art Phase II Renovation was comprised of renovating the original building, which was John Russell Pope?s first museum project that was constructed in 1929, in addition to the East Wing, which was added in 1982. The overall scope of work consists of a major MEP upgrade, updating the museum?s existing building automated system, adding fire protection to each renovated space, structural preservation of the original building, and refinishing multiple gallery spaces and the building?s main East lobby entrance. Features unique to the project included:

  • Bluestone paved sculpture pedestal
  • Structural framework to display original Tiffany & Co. glasswork
  • Monumental marble staircase and custom wood ceilings
  • Extensive plaster restoration
