University of Colorado Boulder - Baker Hall

The second residence hall built on University of Colorado’s campus in 1937, Baker Hall recently underwent a 116,000 SF renovation. The renovation modernized the building while still keeping the historic aspects in place. Work consisted of a complete interior deconstruction and renovation, a new south entrance, and development of a promenade at the east courtyard. The building houses 456 beds, classroom space, faculty offices, a community kitchen, laundry room, faculty apartment, and a resident assistant apartment. The project is pursuing LEED® Platinum certification.
