The Smith Center for the Performing Arts
The Smith Center for the Performing Arts project is nearly five acres of Symphony Park. A world-class performing arts center encompassing three performance theatres, it will feature music, theater and dance companies, and will be home to the Las Vegas Philharmonic and Nevada Ballet Theater. The project consists of the 2,050-seat Reynolds Hall, complete with a full orchestra pit capable of seating up to 100 musicians; a 300-seat cabaret theater that overlooks Symphony Park and is ideal for jazz, cabaret and other performances best seen and heard in an intimate setting; and a 200-seat studio theater, ideal for rehearsals, children's theater, community events and private social gatherings. Part of The Smith Center for the Performing Arts campus is the Discovery Children's Museum which is approximately 55,000 SF and is a core and shell structure for future use as an interactive children's museum. There will also be a 380-stall parking garage and groundbreaking will soon begin on a two-acre park. This project received LEED® Gold certification.
