Dining Facilities
Design/build project with Clark Nexsen Architecture and Engineering at MCB Camp Pendleton, California. The project consists of construction of two dining facilities:
P-1033 Edson Range, 31 Area
Construction of a 56,000 SF, single level dining facility with separate dining and serving areas for permanent personnel and recruits. Project includes:
- Mess decks
- Galley
- Scullery
- Administrative offices
- Storage
- Restrooms
- Mechanical, electrical and telecommunications rooms.
P-1084 Chappo, 22 Area
Construction of a 33,000 SF dining facility with dining and serving areas for permanent personnel. Project includes:
- Mess decks
- Galley
- Scullery
- Administrative offices
- Storage
- Restrooms
- Mechanical, electrical and telecommunications rooms.
Whiting-Turner will provide a temporary food service facility throughout the construction duration. The preliminary design also includes a three-level parking structure. Both project sites include extensive site construction to create a campus-like atmosphere that connects to the surroundings. The project is being designed to achieve LEED® Gold certification. These buildings are considered to be signature buildings at MCB Camp Pendleton.
