Carvel Plant for Celebration Foods
This Carvel facility completed for Celebration Foods is the winner of Food Engineering Magazine’s 2009 Plant of the Year. It has a building footprint of 119,000 SF with usable space of 138,000 SF. To overcome budgetary constraints, an open 43,000 SF space was created instead of segregating production activities into separate areas. The flooring is made from highly polished concrete, rendered nonporous with chemical treatments. The facility includes a single-floor production and storage area and a two-story attached office area.
