Pleasure Island
Pleasure Island is located in Downtown Disney and consists of a number of nightclubs and retail establishments. A new pedestrian bridge was installed connecting Pleasure Island with Downtown Disney West Side. The entire Main Street of Pleasure Island was sloped and raised along with the addition of 2,500 LF of new handrail. Work also included new area lighting installation, a new boat dock, refurbishment of a 6,729 SF existing building, new landscape and hardscape, installation of four ticket vending machines, and relocation of two existing Pleasure Island monument signs at the east and west approaches to the bridge. A new 1,384 SF restroom building was also constructed to accommodate Disney guests.
