Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture
The Maryland Museum of African American History & Culture is an 82,000 SF five-story structure. Some of the major spaces within this building include an 11,500 SF, permanent exhibit area on the third floor, a 3,500 SF temporary exhibit area on the second floor, and a two-story theater with an atrium and a grand lobby. The building also includes a museum shop, café, resource center that includes an oral history recording studio, distance learning classroom, collections storage area, conservation lab, terrace overlooking the Inner Harbor, and offices for staff.
