P&DC Expansion
This project consists of partial demolition of the existing structure and conveyors, interior renovations and relocation of existing conveying equipment and expansion of the existing Processing & Distribution Center (P&DC) for the United States Postal Service. The expansion accommodates three new flat systems sorting (FSS) machines, and a relocated automated package and parcel sorter (APPS) machine. The facility consists of a single-story warehouse totaling 153,000 SF with multiple use areas containing the following: approximately 132,000 SF of workroom floor space, 14,500 SF of platform, 1,550 SF of business mail entry unit (BMEU), 2,900 SF of offices/lobbies/restrooms, and 1,300 SF of an electrical/mechanical room. The renovation and addition occurred without interrupting the 24-hour operating facility.
