Loyola Blakefield Innovative Learning Center

Loyola Blakefield Innovative Learning Center

Loyola Blakefield’s new, 46,360 SF Innovative Learning Center is under construction. The two-story middle school, adjacent to Wheeler Hall, will house 10 classrooms, two science labs, a cyber lab, an art studio and a learning commons. The learning commons will be a collaborative space for all grade levels of Loyola Blakefield students. The lower level includes a maker space for students and a new acoustically tuned space for the school’s band and instrument practice space. The exterior of the Innovative Learning Center matches the character of the other prominent buildings on the school’s campus with a façade that includes butler stone with cast stone details and slate roofing. The school’s first vegetated roof will be installed above the learning commons.
