This 30-acre solar project, located in Peapack, New Jersey, is a large solar farm that delivers clean, renewable solar energy to substantially reduce carbon footprint. The output of the facility was purchased by a large pharmaceutical company, and it is one of the largest photovoltaic solar system of its kind for a non-utility company on the East Coast. The system produces 10 million kW hours of solar energy per year, and it is approximately 90% net-zero.
The farm consists of a 7.96 MW-DC fixed, ground-mounted facility interconnected at 34 kV into a local utility sub-transmission. They are connected via a new 34.5 kV exterior pad-mounted main service switchgear. This system feeds the entirety of the pharmaceutical company’s campus through nearly 26,500 modules.
