VIRTUAL DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION
A full building model was developed that included structural and architectural elements of the building. This base model was provided to the mechanical, electrical, fire suppression and pool subcontractors.
Each of these subcontractors developed a model of their systems within the base model and coordinated with each of the other trades to avoid conflicts. During weekly coordination meetings, Whiting-Turner worked with the subcontractors to determine the most efficient way to resolve each of these conflicts with minimal changes to the structural and architectural base models.
This project achieved LEED® Gold certification.
