Ruby City

Ruby City

Ruby City is a two-story, 10,000 SF museum inspired from a sketch by the late collector, philanthropist and artist, Linda Pace, and designed by renowned Architect, Sir David Adjaye OBE. The museum provides contemporary art exhibit spaces to be accredited by the American Alliance of Museums and are designed to present the works from the Linda Pace Foundation Collection that includes more than 900 paintings, sculptures, installations and video works. The facility also includes offices, conference room space, and features a unique entry court and outdoor sculpture garden. The building’s exterior design features a distinctive ruby red precast concrete cladding with three different textures and finishes including both a polished and exposed aggregate with red glass fragments that create a sparkling effect in the South Texas sunlight.
