The five-story hotel located in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee is part of a multiphase plan for Hill Center Brentwood, a 17-acre, mixed-use development, that offers convenient access to retail, office and dining locations. Lean scheduling and construction were integrated into this project from the start to streamline the construction process. Whiting-Turner utilized virtual pull planning software to create a collaborative schedule by working backwards from the completion date to minimize delays and increase communication. Cold-formed metal framed wall panels were prefabricated off-site. This included exterior wall panels, load bearing interior walls, bump outs, sheathing and parapets. This was done to reduce traffic onsite and avoid any potential delays.
