Carolina Foods Baking Facility
Located 15-miles outside Charlotte, North Carolina, this project is the second phase of the Carolina Foods Baking Facility and will produce baked goods such as honey buns, donuts, pastries and pies. The 420,000 SF facility will follow a linear layout that separates fryer rooms from other production areas, aiming to increase safety and efficiency. This space will include:
- Interior production space
- Dedicated donut lines
- Office space with a two-story executive suite
- Breakrooms
- Locker rooms
The first phase of this project, completed by Whiting-Turner, was awarded Food Engineering’s 2025 Plant of the Year.
