KDC Solar Seashore

About

THIS PROJECT

This 10.66 mW-DC project is located on a former superfund, capped landfill site in the township of Egg Harbor, New Jersey. Due to the site’s landfill status, there was extensive permitting required, and the project included a complex cable tray and wire-management system.

This project is a direct grid connect for Atlantic City Electric, and produces approximately 13.9 million kW hours each year. Over nearly 46 acres of land, the project utilized central inverters, and is interconnected to an express feeder at 12.5 kV via a new piece of pad-mounted switchgear.
