Cleveland Clinic Hybrid Operating Rooms

About

THIS PROJECT

The Cleveland Clinic Hybrid Operating Rooms project was the addition of two 1,500 SF hybrid operating rooms within the Cleveland Clinic’s existing hybrid operating room floor. These operating rooms house advanced imaging equipment with floor-mounted positioning flexibility, enabling more angulations and multiple work positions. The operating rooms also include:

  • 11 ceiling-mounted medical booms
  • Control rooms
  • Shared equipment room
  • Conduits for audiovisual integration
  • Substerile area with a flash sterilizer
  • Combined surgical supply area
  • Sterile supply room

This project utilized BIM/VDC to help coordinate the congested above-ceiling space and high-load support system over the entire ceiling space to allow for future reconfiguration.
