Nestled within the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina, the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort expansion project included adding to the resort’s five-story convention center and the construction of a new 20-story hotel tower. The hotel connects to a parking garage through an enclosed pedestrian bridge on the second floor. Amenities within the expansion include:

The project team applied Lean techniques by utilizing a pull-planning method. This method created a collaborative schedule with trade partners and worked backwards from the completion date to ensure timely delivery. To increase efficiency, trade partners used a virtual reality headset to visualize the jobsite without needing to be physically present.
