Westchester’s Ridge Hill

About

THIS PROJECT

Whiting-Turner was the owner’s program manager for Westchester’s Ridge Hill, an 84-acre, mixed-use development in New York. The project features 2.5 million SF of total development and includes:

  • 1.2 million SF of retail space
  • 150,000 SF of office space
  • Five precast parking structures with over 4,000 spaces

This project included extensive coordination with the New York State Thruway Authority and involved the seamless replacement of a structurally-unsound, four-lane bridge traversing the Thruway. Improvements to an off-site intersection were also coordinated to facilitate traffic concerns that arose during the site plan approval process.

The development also included the construction of several miles of on-site roads, eight new signal-controlled intersections, and complete domestic water and sewer systems were managed for dedication to the City of Yonkers. This required working closely with the City of Yonkers engineering, water, sewer and traffic departments to make sure these systems all met stringent City requirements, as well as Westchester County Department of Health regulations.
