1601 Wewatta
About
THIS PROJECT
The 1601 Wewatta project includes the construction of a 300,000 SF, 10-story office building in the Central Platte Valley district of downtown Denver. The project includes 280,000 SF of office space and 20,000 SF of first-floor retail space, as well as a four-story, 400-space, underground parking garage with electric charging stations.
The building’s floor plates range in size from 29,400 SF to 38,100 SF, providing flexibility for single-tenant or multi-tenant users. Four elevators service the office building. Each floor has a dedicated air handling unit that is served by a chiller plant in the lower level of the parking garage and a mechanical penthouse on the roof.
The exterior plaza area includes five outdoor terraces on the third, fourth and seventh floors, granite benches and walls, as well as newly landscaped trees to complement the surrounding Union Station neighborhood.
This project received LEED® Gold certification.
