THIS PROJECT

The Petco National Support Center project was a conversion of a 250,000 SF computer chip manufacturing facility to a large corporate headquarters building. The National Support Center is a pet-friendly facility where employees are encouraged to bring their pets to work and each cubicle has a built-in pet gate. The Class A office building features conference rooms, offices and collaborative working spaces, as well as:

  • Full-service fitness center
  • Petco Cafe
  • Mock-up pet store
  • Marketing suite
  • Football field-sized atrium

The facility also includes 15 fish tanks and five terrariums which are home to multiple fresh water, salt water and reptilian animals. Outdoor spaces include six dog parks and a dog walking loop, recreation areas and sport courts, a work/dine area and a large community park in the center of the building. The building also features multiple sustainable elements, including:

  • 2,920 solar panels covering 42,200 SF of the roof
  • Over 100 skylights
  • Drought-tolerant landscaping
  • Electric car-charging stations
