THIS PROJECT

Following the demolition of the original facility, a new, expanded training center was built at Blue Grass Airport in Lexington, Kentucky. These improvements will provide instructors with the ability to conduct training, specifically for the challenges of aircraft firefighting. Training simulators include a plane modeled after a Boeing 737 and Airbus A320, along with a 30-foot-long helicopter modeled after a UH-60 Blackhawk. Additions to the facility consist of:
