Logan Airport Common Area Improvements

About

THIS PROJECT

This project consisted of interior common area improvements in a 100,000 SF footprint of Terminal B in Logan International Airport. The project included the demolition of the existing flooring and installation of new terrazzo flooring in an occupied, functioning terminal with secure side hold rooms, TSA checkpoints, ticketing areas, bag belt areas and common concourse/concession areas. The project also included:

  • Demolition of the existing ceiling
  • Replacement of light fixtures
  • Replacement of mechanical insulation on chilled waterlines
  • Installation of new acoustical ceilings

Work was performed in both the secure and non-secure areas of the airport. This required intricate phasing and coordination with airport operations, airlines, TSA and concessions so that no operational impacts occurred.
