FedEx Ground Hub Expansion

THIS PROJECT
The project involved a Hub building expansion, primarily consisting of 200,000 SF of warehouse space on the distribution floor and 18,500 SF of new and expanded office areas. Throughout construction, the existing hub building and yard remained operational. The project also included:
- 90,000 SF service platform (elevated floor slab) expansion
- 4,800 SF gateway building
- 4,400 SF vehicle maintenance garage expansion
- Fuel island facility expansion
- Two gatehouses
- 53,000 SF loading wing
There was also a significant amount of sitework involved, totaling 37 acres of site development. This included 260,000 CY of imported material, 1,565,000 SF parking lot expansion, 6,500 LF of new permanent perimeter fencing, underground utilities, stormwater management and landscaping.
