THIS PROJECT

This multi-phased project relocated Southwest Airlines’ TSA screening area at Kansas City International Airport (MCI). The project included:

  • Demolition and construction of a sprung structure
  • Modification and installation of new baggage handling system
  • Modification of curbside operations
  • Installation of a self-tagging kiosks

The interior construction of the TSA room consisted of MEP modifications, upgraded security, an out-going baggage belt and owner-furnished and installed baggage scanners. The second phase of the project relocated the curbside baggage check-in and renovation of the ticketing area.
