Athletic

FACILITY

The campus is centered around a wood infill turf field and a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) regulation track with rising bleachers that seat up to 1,400 people. The stadium is primarily used for research, development, sports marketing and community sporting events. The field is equipped with technology that can track and measure athletes’ performance in real time, supporting research and product development.

Sustainable

FEATURES

A core value to the Under Armour campus is sustainability. This project is LEED Platinum® and is pursuing net zero energy and the WELL Building Standard. The building was constructed almost entirely of glulam beams and columns alongside cross-laminated timber panels and floors imported from Austria. Mass timber was chosen for its lower carbon impact as a renewable material. Additional sustainability features on the campus consist of:

  • Vegetated roof
  • Rainwater harvesting
  • Geothermal heating and cooling
  • Solar panels
  • Curtainwall sunshades
  • Premium HVAC system with energy recovery
